I moved to (outside) LA, got a job, got a new apartment, the only thing I lack is a rescued kitten. Stay tuned for that is next on my list.
I've finally managed to unpack my camera; it felt so good to hold it again. I've been taking pictures here and there with a Canon Powershot but it just does. not. compare.
I'm reviving/planting some roses in my back garden as well...gardening has become a hobby? Never thought I'd see the day. Next thing you know I'll actually learn how to cook (probably not.)
There's something about the coastal climate that makes gardening into almost a calling. Flowers spring from the cracks in the sidewalks, as do palm trees and cactuses. It smells beautiful whenever I take morning walks or runs down the strand to the beach.
In my spare time, between working, gardening, reading, thinking about what I'm going to do with the rest of my life slash where I'll be living next, I've been working on some book ideas. The poetry book is set and almost complete, but my books are a bit of a work in progress, which is perhaps because they blur the realism/supernatural barrier. It's hard to keep things in my head so almost everything I write turns into a stream of consciousness. I'll have some previews up here soon, if only to make myself feel better.
ALSO! I'd welcome any thoughts regarding subjects of photography! I'm looking for new ideas to try.

Plato does not talk of physical attraction as a necessary part of love, hence the use of the word platonic to mean, "without physical attraction." Plato also said eros helps the soul recall knowledge of beauty, and contributes to an understanding of spiritual truth.
Lovers and philosophers are all inspired to seek truth by eros.

As a matter of personal respect I have never quoted anyone I did not think was more clever than myself which has, until today, made me seem very foolish.
